Catholic Charities of Acadiana

Today is Giving Tuesday. And today, I am talking to you about #igivecatholic on Giving Tuesday.

Answer the question “What does $25 mean to me?”
What is $25 worth to you and your family? (To each of your kids?)
What can you and your family give up for $25 a month?

To a homeless person in Acadiana, it means a warm bed for the night.

Each night, Catholic Charities of Acadiana shelters around 140 homeless men.

They open their doors to anyone who needs shelter, turning nobody away.
What this means though is that they are now operating the shelter at a $300k deficit.

I am asking friends and family to consider becoming a $25 monthly donor to Catholic Charities of Acadiana.

What this means to a homeless person is worth so much more than our sacrifice to give up something and become a $25 monthly donor.

Catholic Charities of Acadiana is caring for the sacred gift of human life in our community, especially the vulnerable in Acadiana. The homeless, the poverty-stricken, and the hungry.

Please join them in caring for them.

I want to thank you for opening up your hearts and wallets today.  Most of us will spend the holidays celebrating with our family and friends while some of our fellow citizens right here in Lafayette will spend the holidays cold and all alone.  But your small monthly sacrifice will go along way to keep warm and safe.

Thank you again and God bless
