The weather is heating up. Does that mean home sales are cooling off? The answer may surprise you.

If you’re on the fence about listing your home, now is the perfect time to take the dive. ATTOM Data Solutions analyzed more than 28 million single-family home and condo sales over an eight year period, from 2011 to 2018. According to their research, there are nine days of the year that offer seller premiums of 10 percent or more.

As the weather heats up, so do home sales!

“Since Summer is a time for vacations and outings, it’s no surprise that it’s also a time when people are most likely to move,” said Todd Teta, chief product officer with ATTOM Data Solutions. “Families start their home search when they know their kids will be out of school and when the weather is ideal for home viewing and moving, giving home sellers an upper hand in price negotiations.”

According to the study, the best day to sell your home is June 28th, with an average seller premium of 10.8%. The second best day to sell your home is May 31st, with an average seller premium of 10.7%.

Furthermore, the company broke their research down by month to look at seller premiums for single-family homes and condo sales throughout the year.
